The aluminum ingot is melted and cast in strips. Slugs are then punched out of these strips and finished to produce a wide variety of types for the packaging and impact-extrusion industries in particular. We also produce cut slugs from direct-extruded bars which are used mainly by the automotive industry after impact extrusion.
Special profiles are produced on modern direct extrusion presses for a wide variety of needs: for machines, in metal construction, architecture and the electronics industry, and also for automotive and traffic engineering.
Our aluminum parts, used in the automotive, electrical-engineering and packaging industries and for pyrotechnics, are produced by means of cold forming, thermal treatment and various types of machining.
Our subsidiary Raufoss Technology develops and perfects innovative chassis parts in close cooperation with automobile manufacturers. Excellent understanding of the part’s function is applied to material of optimum quality, resulting in faultless
production.
